Our Pilates Matwork classes are a great way to incorporate full body strength, flexibility and coordination into your weekly routine. Variations and modifications are given to accommodate all levels and abilities, so as you gain strength, we will give you new ways to challenge your body. This is a great full-body workout, especially for toning the mid-section.
Focuses on breath and fascial release work to improve hydration and circulation to the connective tissues of the body. Fascia is an entire body wide system that when properly trained leaves the body more resilient and fluid producing an overall sense of well-being. We use various props, including small stability balls, Flex Bands and soft foam rollers. Come to melt tension!.
Garuda’s results are striking. Increased strength, flexibility, co-ordination and endurance, with a greater sense of ease and well-being. Garuda offers a cardiovascular workout while drawing deeply on mental focus, and teaching the sacred principle of relaxation within movement. Reformer Groups Classes
This is an unique and challenging class for Athletic Conditioning using the Reformer. The specialized exercises in our AC classes are designed to increase strength, mobility, and endurance for those wishing to reach the ultimate fitness level. The AC Ref class uses variations of traditional Reformer and Mat exercises as well as unique exercises designed to challenge strength and power but that use simple movement patterns. Fast-paced, loads of fun, with emphasis on safe and effective full body exercises, this workout will train the body from the inside out. The Intermediate level is appropriate for students who have a clear understanding of the Basic Principles as well as the strength, endurance and coordination necessary to be successful in this more challenging format. Please note that our instructors reserve the right to suggest you continue with the Essential level if they feel that more appropriate.
This class combines traditional Pilates Reformer exercises for a full body workout that strengthens, tones, and mobilizes. This class is perfect for improving posture, strengthening the core, and bringing balance and stability to all of the joints of the body. This class is ideal for those new to Pilates, those coming to Pilates from the traditional fitness world and for athletes looking for a challenge and an introduction to Pilates equipment and exercises. An orientation session is required prior to joining any of our Reformer classes.
This 50-minute essential level class focuses on the exercises that are the core of all other class formats on the schedule. Great for those who are beginning the BMC Pilates Program and essential for those who want to get back to the basics. Using this one incredible piece of Pilate’s equipment, you'll strengthen the core, increase range of motion, and balance the muscles around the joints to create better posture and support for the frame of your body. An orientation is required prior to joining any of our Pilates equipment classes. The Essential level is appropriate for students who have taken Reformer classes or have taken private sessions to learn the basic repertoire and equipment. A perfect choice for those wishing to keep their foundational skills solid. All levels welcome
PILATES FOR BONES HEALTH
Is a twice-weekly program, designed to build muscle endurance and strength for anyone who is post-rehab or who has Osteopenia, Osteoporosis, Scoliosis, spinal instability or mechanical back pain. It increases core strength and stability, enhances joint integrity, improves postural alignment and awareness, and develops muscle tone needed for strong bones. An orientation class is required.
This Cardio and Reformer interval class designed to stimulate both cardiovascular and muscular effectiveness. It combines cardio intervals with muscular strength and endurance moves on the vertical mini trampoline. The routine features traditional Essential level Pilates Reformer-based exercises. An orientation class is required before joining any of our equipment classes.
This fun and calorie burning reformer class is low impact and high intensity. Using the Reformer with the cardio tramp attachment allows you to lie on a padded carriage while jumping so you can be sure your back is supported and your hip, knee, and ankle alignment is perfect.
Using springs rather than body weight for resistance during the jumping intervals allows you to safely control of the amount of resistance and challenge. Between the jumping intervals, you'll use traditional Pilates Reformer exercises for a full body workout like no other. An intermediate level is required before joining any classes.
